#5 Xavier Woods returns to in-ring action after injury

2021 King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods, also known as King Woods, returned to in-ring action this week at a live event in Jackson, Mississippi. He teamed up with his New Day stablemate Kofi Kingston in a triple threat tag team match on Saturday. They faced the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and Sheamus and Ridge Holland.

King Woods suffered an injury during a match on SmackDown in January 2022, as he tore a plantaris muscle in his lower leg. He has been out of action since then, and it's encouraging to see him back in action ahead of WrestleMania 38.

#4 Big E's neck injury might be career-ending, according to former WWE physicianWe here at Sportskeeda wish a speedy recovery to Big E

We here at Sportskeeda wish a speedy recovery to Big E

Big E suffered a scary injury on SmackDown this week as he landed badly on his neck at the ringside while taking a belly-to-belly move from Ridge Holland. The former WWE Champion took to Twitter to reveal that he broke his neck. He later gave an update that there was no damage to his spine and noted that he won't need surgery, but his C1 and C6 vertebrae have been fractured.

Former WWE physician Dr. David Cho has now commented on the situation, stating that a C1 fracture often doesn't heel completely and might end up being a career-ending injury for Big E.

'The C1 fracture is most dangerous as the top cervical vertebrae is a ring and is commonly associated with immediate death or complete paralysis. Thankfully the fracture was not displaced and he will not need surgery. However, this type of fracture often heals incompletely and it may mean the end of his wrestling career."

Fans and fellow wrestling personalities continue to send their love and support to Big E, praying for his speedy recovery. There is no confirmation yet on how long he'll be out of action and what the injury means for his future.

WWE Hall of Famer Lita recently appeared as a special guest on Corey Graves' After the Bell podcast. During the conversation, she showered praise on Monday Night RAW Superstars Doudrop, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley.

"I got to be more backstage at RAW working with Becky leading up to it," said Lita. "I will say that three women that I am like, 'Oh, we are just getting started seeing where these women can go,' are Doudrop, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley. I think all three of those women have had these little moments and these little opportunities, but we’re just scratching the surface there on what they can do to be players and viable stars headlining cards in years to come."

Last month at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Saudi Arabia, Lita had her first one-on-one match in a decade as she challenged RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch for her title. While the veteran was unable to dethrone Big Time Becks, fans were happy to see her back in action.

During a recent interview with POST Wrestling, former WWE Superstar Sarah Logan commented on her wrestling future. Logan, who became a mother last year, stated that it depends on her son. She also added that she'd prefer part-time wrestling, and she's not sure about coming back full-time.

"I'm planning on wrestling again one day," said Logan. "But I think I need to sleep more than two hours throughout the night – Cash. It's up to Cash if I'm going to wrestle again. Full-time? I'm not sure. I really like my farm and my life right now and part-time wrestling, one or two shows here and there, probably. I don’t know though. Who knows?"

Sarah Logan was released from WWE in April 2020 alongside several other noteworthy names. Earlier this year, she made a one-night return as a surprise entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble match. Logan entered the match at #25, but she only lasted for 43 seconds before The Bella Twins eliminated her.
