Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide reported that Lashley was hurt and deliberately removed from the Elimination Chamber Match. Lashley got hurt during his Royal Rumble Match against Brock Lesnar, as per the report:


''He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble. From what I’m told, it’s for at least 4 months. Shoulder surgery. I’m hearing that he might not even make it to Mania.''

PWInsider confirmed the rumors and said Lashley's injury isn't just for storyline purposes, and he's set to get medical treatment for his injuries:


''PWInsider.com, in asking several WWE sources this evening about Famuyide's report, was able to confirm that Lashley is slated to get looked at sometime this coming week in Birmingham, Alabama, which is where Dr. James Andrews, who handles a number of WWE talent surgeries, is situated."

Bobby Lashley was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at Madison Square Garden on March 5. However, WWE will now have to find a suitable alternative.

Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. However, The Tribal Chief was set to face The Rock at next year's WrestleMania, as per multiple reports.


Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio said due to The Rock's busy schedule and involvement with XFL, he might not be available next year during April:


“Dwayne being all over next year promoting (the XFL), which could be interesting because next year is the WrestleMania that he was supposed to work with Roman Reigns, and that would be in April, and that’s probably gonna be the middle of the season."

WWE has been trying to make Roman Reigns vs. The Rock happen for a long time. WWE initially wanted the match to happen at this year's WrestleMania but had to postpone it due to The Rock's schedule.

Fightful Select reported that AJ Styles has signed a new multi-deal contract with WWE. It's a 'big money deal,' and the sources within WWE believe that Styles deserves it:


According to Sapp, Styles' new contract is "well over $3 million a year" and will also have some of his bus travel accommodations paid for.

AJ Styles is a former world champion, and one of WWE's most bankable stars since he made his debut in 2016. While there's no current plan for him, there are rumors that he'll face Edge at WrestleMania 38.

Former 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick reportedly re-signed with the company. Maverick was one of the multiple superstars released by WWE during budget cuts. As per PWInsider, Maverick has returned to the company in a backstage role, and will be part of the RAW creative team:


"[Drake] Maverick, real name James Curtin, is now working behind the scenes for the RAW Creative Team. We are told Curtin started 3-4 weeks ago," stated the report.

Maverick was released in 2020, but was re-signed by WWE due to fan support. He joined NXT at the time and stayed on the black & gold brand. His second main roster run didn't prove lucky for him as he was released again in 2021.

As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning multiple feuds between NXT 2.0 and RAW stars in the future. AJ Styles was involved in a feud with NXT's Grayson Waller last month. This month, Dolph Ziggler is involved in a rivalry with Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker:


In an update on this crossover from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE reportedly wants to have at least one RAW Superstar on NXT at all times. This is an attempt to draw more RAW viewers to NXT 2.0 on Tuesday nights.

The current feud between Ziggler and NXT Champion Bron Breakker is scheduled to run up until NXT Stand & Deliver in Dallas on April 2.
